About Golf Garage Guide
I started Golf Garage Guide because I want to build an incredible home golf simulator of my own—and I realized that the research, measurements, equipment decisions, and build planning could help a lot of other golfers too.
I do not currently own a golf simulator, and I will never pretend that I have personally tested equipment I have not used. What I do bring is hands-on DIY ability, a garage and workshop mindset, plenty of tools, and the patience to work through the details that determine whether a home golf setup will actually work.
Why I Built This Site
It started with a simulator I could not afford—yet.
I have the space to build a home golf simulator. I have the tools, the practical ability, and even a shop at the back of my property that could eventually become an unbelievable dedicated golf room. What I do not have yet is the budget to build it the way I want.
As I researched launch monitors, impact screens, projectors, mats, enclosures, software, room dimensions, and total costs, I kept finding the same problem: the information was scattered. A product could look great on its own while being a poor fit for a specific room, budget, or setup.
That is when the idea became bigger than my own future simulator. I decided to build a resource that helps everyday golfers avoid buying gear that does not fit, understand the full cost, build more safely, and make smarter decisions in the right order.
My goal is ambitious: turn Golf Garage Guide into the most useful garage and home-simulator golf website on the internet. If the site succeeds, I plan to document the process of converting my own space and building the dream simulator from the ground up.

At the back of my property is a shop that could become an incredible dedicated home golf simulator. The vision is not a bare mat and net. It is a complete room built with the benefit of everything learned through this site: the right dimensions, premium equipment, smart protection, clean installation, good lighting, reliable software, and a practice setup that feels special every time it is used.
Golf Garage Guide is the research and planning stage of that project. As the site grows, so will the knowledge behind the eventual build. When the time comes, the entire process—from the empty room to the first simulated round—will be documented here.
